Santa Rosa 2

We are still in Santa Rosa.  Today we hope to receive our new bed from Deseret Industries.  We will take it with us to Eureka this week or next. We will also pick out some other furniture from the storage garages here in Santa Rosa. Santa Rosa has at least two famous former residents: Luther Burbank, of potato fame, and Charles Schultz, of Peanuts fame.  Old town Santa Rosa is full of Peanuts memorabilia.  Maybe this week we will go to the Charles Schultz museum.

Stuck in Santa Rosa

We got to Santa Rosa about a week ago. We were waiting for the President to decide where he wanted to send us.  We stayed in the tech elders' apartment for a few days. Monday night the President called to tell us where he thought he would send us.  Tuesday night he was sure.  Then the apartment locator started looking for an apartment for us in Eureka.  She also ordered us a bed. We will be new Seniors in that area.  Along with helping the Stake President as directed, we will be inspecting apartments.  We are excited to have an assignment and a responsibility.  Then they found us another temporary apartment here in Santa Rosa, so we carried all of our stuff up 15 stairs to the new apartment.  The next day we heard that an apartment was available in Eureka.  We envisioned carrying all that stuff back down the stairs.  Now it appears that we will be here for at least a week.  We may unpack.
