Last month we had a lovely visit with the other MLS senior missionaries. We went to Montgomery State Reserve which for many years boasted having the tallest redwood tree in the world. As often happens with records of that sort, someone found a taller tree in the same forest, but not in the same park.
We have been spending most of our time visiting with the members of the Eureka Ward. Some of them are more active than others, but all have a story to tell. We love the people here.
I have personally been getting braver about declaring the gospel and its many truths to people we meet. I even took my hairdresser a Book of Mormon this week.
Last week we went to Patrick's Point. It is a little park right on the coast. We saw a whale. Unfortunately, it only surfaced once while we were there and we didn't get a picture. It was pretty exciting!
This morning I watched the seals play in the bay outside the gym we visit each morning. They just look like black lumps in pictures, but they are fun for me to watch while I pedal away on the stationary bike.

So beautiful there! That's so great you can see whales along the coast. Keep the posts coming. Love you!
