We are beginning to love it here in Eureka. We especially love not having to shovel any snow.
I think I will make a few remarks about how we are learning the gospel.
First of all, we study the gospel in a couple of different ways. We are watching and listening to all of President Nelson's conference talks. We felt it was important to get to know him. His talks are very doctrinal. And for two years in a row, he wore the same tie 😊
We both completed President Nelson's challenge to read the Book of Mormon before the end of the year.
We started our mission by watching all the available Mormon Messages. We have used these short videos to help review the gospel with people we visit.
We read the Book of Mormon every night with an investigator who will be baptized tomorrow. We will continue reading with him until we finish the book. We are in Alma.
We have read Preach My Gospel together.
Our latest study practice is to list all the invitations made in Preach My Gospel. Along side the invitations we list the associated doctrine(with references) and blessings. The mission president calls this a DIB diary. The idea is that missionaries will have ready references when they invite others to keep commandments, etc. The more important purpose is to put this information in our minds so that it can be recalled when needed. It will be easier for the Holy Ghost to bring to our remembrance information we put in our memory in the first place.
We also learn from the young Elders and Sisters in this district. We love District and Zone meetings.
And I suppose being called upon to speak in sacrament meeting is also a learning experience, though not one I would pick for myself.
We are also learning to be better missionaries by visiting and helping the less active members of the ward. I don't know if I will ever be comfortable knocking on the doors of strangers.
We are learning how to be better people by watching all that the ward members do to help one another.

We have also learned to stay out of the way of the elk on the road. We only seem to see them on holidays. They were everywhere on our way to and from Nate's for Christmas.
